A fantastic single malt single cask whisky, but although the label describes it as Chewy and cheek-sucking I disagree. I’ll be sending a sample to the first five people to email me.

ABV: 54.00%

Cask: Quercus mongolica — Mongolian Oak

Age: 16yo

nose: Light and sweet, with lots of orange marmalade and cigar smoked honeyed green apple. with a drop of water develops in to a Barbados rum and raisin cake. A little bit of Anise is hidden on the base  note.

Palette:  Smooth and sweet, washes over the tongue and fills the mouth. Gives up a little of the apple and tabacc, but the Anise and closes resonate on the back ot the palette.

Finish: Long and more-ish.

Body: Thick and sumptuous!

Sadly SMWS whisky is only available to Members, see www.smws.com for details of a club near you.
