Back to the Whisky

This last fortnight has been a whirlwind of drinks related events and a relaxing trip to the Adirondacks in New York State (but was lacking the internet).
While in North America I managed to pick up a bottle of the Markers Mark 46 for my personal consumption, so a review will be coming shortly.
Before I left for my week of hiking in the mountains I managed to sit down with Ian Buxton to discuss his whisky book reproductions, while also attend an Ardbeg tasting with Dr Bill from Glenmorangie and testing out the new No.3 Gin from Berry Bros & Rudd. Podacsts for each will come over the next couple of days, as well as a review of the new Glenfiddich 15yo single cask solera once I figure out how to open the box without picking the lock .
However, before all of that tonight is once again the first Thursday of the month, meaning it’s time for Whisky Squad at the Gunmakers in London.
Tonight’s tasting is with the energetic Colin Dunn from Diageo, so should be an exciting and fun night for all!
More to follow soon…
